Our signature rum-making experience invites you to immerse yourself in the world of rum and create your very own bespoke spiced rum blend.
Discover the story behind Temple Island Rum, learn about the craft of rum-making from our experts and get hands-on as you develop a recipe that is uniquely yours.
Included in The Henley Distillery Spiced Rum Experience:
- A tour of the distillery and an insight into the history of rum from our owners
- A tasting of a selection of spirits produced at The Henley Distillery
- Two large rums to enjoy during the experience

- The opportunity to create and refine your own bespoke spiced rum recipe
- Expert advice and guidance throughout the blending process
- Your own full-size 70cl bottle of bespoke spiced rum to take home
- Your recipe written on a personalised label and safely stored on file, allowing you to recreate and reorder your blend in the future
With a maximum of 14 guests per session, our experiences are kept small and personal, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the experience and get hands-on with your own rum creation.
Taking place in the heart of the distillery, your experience will begin with a tour and tasting. You’ll discover the history of rum, learn more about the story behind Temple Island Rum and explore the process behind the spirits we produce here at The Henley Distillery.
You’ll then have the opportunity to create your own bespoke spiced rum blend. With our experts on hand to offer advice and guidance, you’ll experiment with different flavours and spices before refining your recipe to create a blend that is uniquely yours.
Once you’re happy with your creation, your bespoke spiced rum will be bottled into a full-size 70cl bottle for you to take home. Your recipe will be recorded on a personalised label, and we’ll also keep it safely on file so you can order more bottles of your bespoke blend in the future.
